ABOUT THE SUBJECT

"The illustrated talk will feature stories from my own family, some of whom came to build the dock and then work there, and other family members who worked on a luxury schooner. It will feature vessels with Penarth links such as the Pamir and Passat, the Titanic, the s.s. Great Britain and the schooner Shearwater. It will also show how the money that flowed from the docks influenced the social history of the town."

ABOUT THE SPEAKER - Bruce Wallace

Bruce is a well known local lad who specialises in the history of Penarth around the area he grew up in (namely Salop St), as well as the Docks and other nearby locations.
