EVENT INFO & TICKET BOOKING / EVENTS CALENDAR / USEFUL INFORMATION
This list includes PCS & Sub-Group events, as well as Cross-Community Collaborations & 3rd Party events or activities we think you might also want to attend.
We are also displaying the events of the Penarth Local History Society as a courtesy and due to similar interests and shared members and speakers. (You can find out more about them and their events on their new Facebook Page*
Only PCS events can be booked via our system
though we will look to provide links to other booking processes where possible.
We are not responsible for the contents, attendance fees or scheduling of events outside of our organisation and are listing the relevant events as a courtesy.
2026 Special Series: Penarth's Shipping & Seafront History
A series of inter-connected talks about the relationship Penarth has with its maritime and seaside history. These talks will take place across a number of organisations & venues (ticket prices will vary depending on both). See the separate list below and Ship&Sea filter in the Events info & Tickets section below to see which talks apply.
Cancelling Event Tickets
The website provider we are using does not have a mechanism for self-cancellation of tickets. If you wish to cancel any tickets purchased (free or paid) please forward your ticket confirmation email and request to enquiries@penarthsociety.org.uk. If you wish to be refunded for the cost, or, instead would like to make it a donation to us, please indicate this. Information about how you can be refunded will be provided in the response. Ticket cancellation removals &/ refunds issued may take a few days to process. Thank you.
Important! Times during BST months when viewed on the above calendar during GMT, may show an incorrect time of one hour earlier than actually scheduled. This is a bug of the website software. The times will correctly show if you integrate the calendar to your own.
Never miss an event update from us again!
CLICK HERE TO ADD THE NEW GOOGLE CALENDAR TO YOUR OWN
Compatible with most calendar apps. This Google Calendar receives live updates instantly, and will likely do so before any website updates. Any changes will be noted in the event's description and discrepancies flagged until they have been synced. Information will also be updated without notification, so please do check it regularly to ensure you are up-to-date. The calendar will also contain additional general useful information not listed as part of our events booking & ticketing section.
Useful Information
Penarth Civic Society Events
The Society holds events throughout the year which are usually open to both Members and Non-Members. With monthly presentation talks, guided local walks and more on offer, and topics covering history, heritage, modern times and even the future, these events are usually Penarth focused, but sometimes we have guest speakers who just have an interesting story of their own to tell, or a local project or initiative they would like to promote.
Our Sub-Groups' & Cross-Community Collaboration Events
Our sub-groups also occasionally hold events, and sometimes we team up with other local groups and organisations to host or participate in events and activities with them. We will also list these here.
SEE BELOW for our current programme.
Don't forget to also check our Facebook Pages for event updates.

Updates/Channel feature unfortunately not available for computer app.)
Penarth Local History Society (PLHS) is an independent group not attached to us, but we do work closely with them on delivering knowledge of local & historical interests, so we are now including their events in this list as they are of similar interests to ours. Unless stated otherwise, PLHS presentations take place on the 2nd Monday of each month (except August & December) at The Tabernacle Church, Plassey St. Doors open 1900 - talk 1930-2100. No-pre booking is required to attend. Entry is £3 for non-members, with raffle available. Membership of PLHS is £20 annually from Jan-Dec (all fees are cash only, paid on entry). Children welcome (must be accompanied by an adult).
NOW ON FACEBOOK! where you can find listings of their events and updates on their activities.
Non PCS / Sub-group events of interest. We may also occasionally include other local historical / heritage events of interest in these listings that are run by 3rd parties (which may or may not include collaboration with us &/ our sub-groups). We list & link these merely as a courtesy only, and all details regarding the event are controlled by and under the responsibility of that 3rd party. These include: Friends of St Augustine's*, Gwyrddio Penarth Greening*, Penarth Living Streets*
