Events
Penarth Civic Society Events
The Society holds events throughout the year which are usually open to both Members and Non-Members. With monthly presentation talks, guided local walks and more on offer, and topics covering history, heritage, modern times and even the future, these events are usually Penarth focused, but sometimes we have guest speakers who just have an interesting story of their own to tell, or a local project or initiative they would like to promote.
Our Sub-Groups' & Cross-Community Collaboration Events
Our sub-groups also occasionally hold events, and sometimes we team up with other local groups and organisations to host or participate in events and activities with them. We will also list these here.
SEE BELOW for our current programme.
Don't forget to also check our Facebook Pages for event updates.

Bat Watch Walks (by FoVS)
You can now get BAT WATCH WALK schedules as well as interesting Bat-related information by subscribing to the new Penarth Batch Watch Walks (by PCS & Sub-Groups) Whatsapp Broadcast Channel. (Click link and then click FOLLOW to subscribe. To view on phone app & in web browsers click the Updates button. Don't forget to also activate the bell icon for notifications of posts. Updates/Channel feature unfortunately not available for computer app.)
Penarth Local History Society (PLHS) is an independent group not attached to us, but we do work closely with them on delivering knowledge of local & historical interests, so we are now including their events in this list as they are of similar interests to ours. Unless stated otherwise, PLHS presentations take place on the 2nd Monday of each month (except August & December) at The Tabernacle Church, Plassey St. Doors open 1900 - talk 1930-2100. No-pre booking is required to attend. Entry is £3 for non-members, with raffle available. Membership of PLHS is £20 annually from Jan-Dec (all fees are cash only, paid on entry). Children welcome (must be accompanied by an adult).
Non PCS / Sub-group events of interest. We may also occasionally include other local historical / heritage events of interest in these listings that are run by 3rd parties (which may or may not include collaboration with us &/ our sub-groups). We list & link these merely as a courtesy only, and all details regarding the event are controlled by and under the responsibility of that 3rd party. These include: Friends of St Augustine's*, Gwyrddio Penarth Greening*, Penarth Living Streets*
2025/26 Events Programme
This list includes PCS & Sub-Group events as well as PLHS, Cross-Community Collaborations and other select notable events of a similar nature we think you might also want to attend. Only PCS events can be booked via our system, though we will look to provide links to other booking processes where possible.
We are not responsible for the contents, attendance fees or scheduling of events outside of our organisation and are listing the relevant events as a courtesy.
