St Augustines Church

An outstanding example of a Victorian church in the Gothic style by renowned architect William Butterfield.

Escaped demolition in WW2 when it was discovered that the Luftwaffe was using it as a landmark for bombing raids on the docks.

Joseph Parry, a popular and productive Welsh composer of at least ten operas is buried in the churchyard.
