Penarth Skytown Gateway at Dingle Park

The Penarth Skytown Gateway was designed by Ruth Spiller and installed in 2020, to mark the entrance both to the park and to the town.

It is made of steel with a finish to look like bronze with a verdigris patina, it is lit at night and is a very popular work of art.

The buildings modelled include the Clock Tower, Pier Pavillion, the old Swimming Baths and the lighthouse on Flat holm.

The Dingle is a classic example of a piece of marginal land, in this case between the road and railway, used to create a public park.
