TALK - ABOUT THE SUBJECT

The Penarth Civic Society (a.k.a. The Penarth Society) has a history spanning back more than 40 years. Recently we uncovered a collection of historical items relating to this, from our formation(s) up to the early 2000s. Dan will be leading us on an 'archeological dig' through them as a way of trying to learn about and understand this historay, based upon what is found in these archives.

TIE-IN EVENT

September - Thu 19th 7pm - PCS Showcase. A chance to see these archives and more. See Event

ABOUT THE SPEAKER - Dan Brown

Though Dan is Cardiff born, Penarth has always been his comfort place, with over 40 years of visits and stays here, before finally becoming a resident. Dan joined the PCS via its sub-group, Friends of Victoria Square, as a way of getting to know more about what goes on in the town, and what to Get Involved with. He ended up on the committee due to his technical skills, and as Vice Chair as a way of helping to keep the Society running.

As a member of the PCS and its Committee, Dan has taken a keen interest in our work and projects, and helpign to create and maintain them.
