About the Event

Come and Join Us at Coffi in the Park (Alexandra Park) for this recruitment session. No obligation to buy coffee & cookies, but stay or the conversation.

Friends of the Italian Gardens (FIGS) is restarting as a group. We are looking for keen volunteers to help maintain this greenspace, performing tasks such as:

  • Weeding
  • Litter Picking
  • General Gardening
  • Basic Repairs & Restoration.
  • Discussions in minor and major restoration plans.
  • Promoting FIGS & other PCS related projects.

We are also looking to do some restoration work of the gardens ready for its 2026 centenary and there will be opportunities to participate in discussions about how we can do this, the grants we can apply for and other fundraising opportunities.

Come along to one of our open recruitment events to find out more.

Register through this event to let us know you intend to come &/ would like to be added to the mailing list.

Note, you can still register your interest in joining FIGS even if you are unable to turn up at this event. Just submit your details and select the Add to Mailing List option at the bottom.

This event is repeated on Sun 23rd June at Coffi in the Park, 10-12 Alexandra Park. Come and join in the conversation (with no obligation to by coffee or cookies!)

FIGS will work alongside and co-ordinate with the Vale of Glamorgan Parks & Open Spaces Dept. on all aspects of the project, and any suggested restoration projects.
